The Captains Personal Medal is awarded to those who have shown great effort and deserve an award for their actions during missions and shoreleave.
This ribbon, the Newcomer of the Month ribbon, goes to ... yes, the newcomer of the month. This new player has done his/ her best to become part of the crew, and fit in on the plot.
The Silverstar award is given to the character who has developed a very interesting subplot, done something OFF-simm, like maintaining some parts of the website; or to the character with a number of posts of the mont.
This medal is given to those player, who have shown enthusiasm, imaginative plots and interesting solutions dor problems over a number of missions. It is the highest medal possible on the USS Pontifex
